Cantine Maduado
The Madaudo Family has had four generations involved in the history of Sicilian wine making. Today Cantine Madaudo is recognized as one of the most important wineries in Sicily. Sicily, an island that has a unique biodiversity with a combination of hilly, mountainous and flat soils, diverse climates, varietal biodiversity and vineyards ranging from the slopes of Mount Etna to the shores of the sea is the only Italian region with as many as four months (August to November) dedicated to the harvest.
For nearly 70 years, the Madaudo philosophy of quality protection, sustainability, traceability, and enhancement of the territory has contributed in making Maduado a top producer in Sicily today. “Sicilia Illustrata” was born from the pencil of Lelio Bonaccorso and the design of Tonino Donato. A kaleidoscope of aromas, flavors, images that describe the wines of Trinacria like a poem. Sourced from the vineyards in Contrada San Lorenzo, the Etna wines show the true characteristics of this unique terroir along with Sicily’s most celebrated wines Grillo and Nero d’avola selected from the families oldest vineyards in Vittoria and Sambuca.
